Remember the Fallen at the WWII Memorial this Memorial Day!

The Friends of the National World War II Memorial and the National Park Service will pay tribute to the more than 400,000 Americans who lost their lives during WWII in a special Memorial Day Observance at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Monday, May 30, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. The program will be streamed live to Friends' Facebook page.

During the ceremony, World War II veteran Dave Yoho will offer personal remarks about his service with the U.S. Merchant Marine during WWII.

As part of the commemoration, World War II veterans will lay wreaths at the Freedom Wall in remembrance of their fallen brothers and sisters.

The Military District of Washington will provide military support for the event.

The ceremony is open to the public; but, registration is required.
